Can a Muslim woman request a recurring amount of money per year as mahr for investments, retirement safety net, et cetera?

I would say that the mahr needs to be reasonable and determinable.

Meaning that instead of saying you're going to give me a reoccurring percentage per year for the life of our marriage.

What needs to happen is for that amount to be known and determined for example, a total amount, which is paid out.

Instead of saying $50,000 up upfront, you're gonna tell him, you're gonna give me, you know, $500 a month until 50,000 has met, and that's going to go into a retirement account of my choice.

So, that it's something that is fixed and he's able to fulfill.
