I think it's both, right.

But here's what I tell people, you're not going to control what in laws do.

So I think however they are is irrelevant that's not my concern because the general rule of thumb is your ability to navigate through in laws is relative to the strength of the couple.

So you can have the most intrusive in laws, but if you're strong as a couple, it's not going to really have an effect, right?

If you're weak as a couple, even if your in laws are nice, you'll create issues.
