How does the marriage license process differ for marrying a non-US citizen abroad?

The marriage license timeline that you just spoke of, how does the timeline or sequence change if getting married to someone overseas who isn't a US citizen?

So the question is not necessarily whether they're a citizen or not a citizen.

The question is where are you getting married? If you're getting married in the US in a particular county, the same thing is going to apply.

You're going to get the license, you're going to do the solemnization, you're going to do the registration.

So it doesn't matter what the immigration status is of either of the parties.

The question is where are you getting married?

Now, if you're getting married overseas in Pakistan or Syria or Egypt or wherever else, obviously you're going to follow their laws. But if you're getting married here in the States, you're going to follow state law.
