How much does a divorce cost if you get a prenup?

So if you have a prenuptial agreement, most likely you're going to be ending up in the uncontested type of divorce.

In an uncontested divorce, the average cost is about $2,000 plus filing fees.

You're saving a lot of money if you had a prenup, so you know, you might spend $1,000 on the prenuptial agreement and then you end up spending, let's say, $2,000 on the actual divorce because you are able to do this in an uncontested manner.

Or maybe what that prenup does is that it lowers the amount of fighting on the financial side and then you only have to concentrate on the children's side.

And the thing about children litigation it's usually the third parties who are doing most of that work.

The lawyers aren't billing you too much for that either through mediation or the GLA that's where the money is gonna go for children related issues.
