What is your opinion on a potential that wants to marry, but not through official government contract in order to avoid non sharia divorce laws?

My position on this has been very clear for the last few years that I believe that you should get married through the state, but with a prenup.

There's certain benefits that come through a state marriage such as being able to be on the health insurance, naming them as beneficiaries when it comes to healthcare access, health insurance, that type of thing, even when it comes to custody, for example, if you're not legally married, you actually have to go through this whole, rigmarole of establishing paternity, which is kind of an embarrassing thing to have to go through.

So my position is usually get married with a state, but get a prenup.

In your particular, perspective. It really depends. Is this, has this person been married before? Are there any immigration issues? What is your financial position? Are you going to be sacrificing your career? Are you going to be staying at home?

So there's a lot of other nuances to this question, but my generic answer has been get married through the state with a prenuptial agreement.
